Making Connections Workshop
What is the workshop?
The workshop, which is entitled "Making Connections - Empowering families" will be 8 weeks long. It's funded by the IWK - Community Grants division. The tentative dates will be Jan. 28 - Mar. 11. At the beginning of the workshop, participants will receive outlines for each week. During each week there will be readings, accompanied by a 30 min. live-chat moderated by LDANS Staff Psychologist
What is the purpose of the workshop?
The workshop is designed to equip parents in rural communities within Nova Scotia with skills they can use at home to help their child(ren) with Learning Disabilities succeed in school, social surroundings, and later in life. It will also serve as a vehicle for parents to build a network with one another and share their experiences and learn from one another.
Things to note..
Space is limited. Participants will be admitted on a first-some, first-serve basis.
Participants will need to have access to the internet.
